NIT Puducherry Btech admission will begin with the registration process of JoSAA starting on June 10, 2024. The National Testing Agency has declared the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 result for Paper 1 on April 24, 2024. Aspirants can now check & download their scorecards by entering their application number, date of birth, and security pin at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Following this, the JoSAA cutoff 2024 for NIT Puducherry B.Tech admission is expected to be out in the second week of June 2024. The cutoff will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks.

Courses & Admission 2024 at NIT Puducherry
NIT Puducherry admission is granted to students who meet the eligibility criteria of the selected course. Along with the eligibility criteria, students have to qualify as per the admission criteria as well. For BTech admission, JEE Main scores are considered. On the other hand, MTech admissions are conducted based on GATE scores.

The application process for NIT Puducherry admission involves several steps in the academic programme. The series of steps involved in the admission process for each program is as follows:
B.Tech
- Candidates are willing to join B. The Tech programme at the NITPY, can apply online since the offline/direct application process is unavailable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Students must appear for JEE Main and Advanced to be selected for the B.Tech course.
- The candidate must pay seat acceptance and admission fees to JoSAA/CSAB Portal.
- The relevant document needs to be submitted for the reference of the authorities of the institute.
M.Tech
- Candidates interested in M.Tech programs can apply through the official website of the National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NITPY).
- Candidates can apply through the CCMT portal.
- The candidate has to submit soft copies of documents along with colored passport-sized photographs.
- The candidate has to pay the application fee of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PWD) through SBI collect.
- Along with the application, candidates need to furnish

- Mark sheets and certificates of all degrees starting from class-X
- Conduct certificate

Ph.D
- The application for Ph.D. is to be submitted online through an application form available at the NITPY.
- The application form is to be filled followed by the signing of the declaration.
- Recent self-attested passport-sized photograph to be provided,
- The requisite documents and the copy of the paid receipt of the application fee are to be forwarded.
- The candidate has to pay the application fee of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PWD) through SBI collect.
- The filled-in application form and self-attested copies of mark sheets, community certificates, degree certificates, and other necessary documents need to be sent to The Dean of the National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NITPY) before the due date.
- A student should mention “Application for PhD admission" (Department Name) on the envelope carrying the documents.
- Some of the documents required for submission are:

NIT Puducherry Cutoff 2024 will be released after every round of JoSAA counselling.
